Effective Date: [June 2025]These Terms of Use (“Agreement”) govern the use of the Dive Number Map API (“API”), provided by the developer and operator of the Dive Number platform (“we,” “us,” or “our”), by you or the entity you represent (“you,” “your,” or “User”). By accessing or using our API, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the API.
1. API Access and Purpose
The Dive Number Map API enables authorized dive centers and websites to integrate interactive maps of diving sites into their digital platforms, including business websites, portals, and mobile applications. The integration is offered free of charge for qualified dive centers and organizations.
The API is provided
for non-commercial integration only, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
2. API Keys and Security
- Each User is issued a unique API key, which must be kept confidential.
- You may not share, resell, transfer, or disclose your API key to any third party without our explicit prior written consent.
- You are solely responsible for all activity associated with your API key.
We reserve the right to revoke your access if unauthorized use or abuse is detected.
3. Branding and Attribution
Use of the Dive Number Map API requires visible and unaltered display of our branding:
- The Dive Number logo must remain visible and may not be removed, obscured, or altered in any way from the embedded map or its frame.
- You may not misrepresent the map as your own service or remove references to Dive Number.
Attribution should remain clear and compliant with the provided display guidelines. Infringement may result in termination of API access.
4. Restrictions on Use
You agree not to use the API:
- For any unlawful, unauthorized, or malicious purpose;
- To violate applicable laws or regulations;
- To scrape, download, or store map content for offline redistribution;
- To use in any context that may damage our reputation;
- In connection with any automated or large-scale data harvesting.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access at any time if use is deemed abusive or contrary to this Agreement.
5. Intellectual Property
All content made available through the API, including dive site data, map overlays, markers, and logos, is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
- You may not reverse engineer, duplicate, extract, or republish API content without prior written consent.
- All rights, title, and interest in the API and associated data remain exclusively with Dive Number and its licensors.
6. Privacy and Data Collection
While using the API, no personal user data is transferred to you from our systems. You are expected to comply with all data protection laws applicable in your jurisdiction. You may not use the API to collect or associate personal information from map users unless you provide a valid privacy policy and receive proper consent.

7. Limitation of Liability
The API is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. In no event shall Dive Number, its affiliates, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or goodwill arising from the use or inability to use the API.
8. Termination
We may, at our sole discretion, suspend or revoke your access to the API at any time, with or without cause or notice. Upon termination, all rights granted under this Agreement shall immediately cease.
9. Changes and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify registered API users of major changes via email or dashboard notifications. Continued use of the API following such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of
Ukraine, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising shall be resolved in the competent courts located in Ukraine.
